FAQs

What should I bring with me?

All participants (children and parent) must weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes (clothing and shoes that are okay to get dirty, as we are a working horse farm). Boots are highly recommended! Also, each participant should bring a water bottle and a snack from home (no nut products, please).

Will there be riding?

Equine Connection Center is an educational equine sanctuary offering equine assisted learning. All activities with horses are done on the ground, unmounted (this is not a riding activity).

Does a parent need to stay?

A parent or other caregiver will need to stay at the farm with their child, please. Preschool meet-ups are not designed to be a drop-off activity at this time.

What is the cancellation policy?

Fees are due upon registration and are non-refundable. Any payments made can be transferred to other activities or experiences should you need to cancel your registration with at least 24 hours’ notice. Fees for any no-shows are considered a contribution toward are animals’ care.

What if it rains?

We may proceed despite rain if conditions are safe (such as a chance of light showers). In the event that thunderstorms or other inclement weather is likely, ECC will reschedule to a “rain date”. These rain dates are subject to change but are tentatively planned for the end of our session schedule. If a participant is unable to attend a rescheduled date, their fees will be credited for use toward an EAL session to be scheduled at their convenience by 08/31/2026.
